For millennia doctors have been inserting fine needles into the body to treat a full range of ailments from depression and anxiety to chronic pain, heart disease, fatigue and all things in between. For a long time the practice baffled western skeptics. Fortunately for us, these days are long past. Nowadays there is no lack of scientific proof and institutional consensus that support what Chinese doctors have known for years. Acupuncture works. Do not trust us though. Please do your own research, come get a treatment and see what you think. In the meantime, you can check out what the World Health Organization (WHO) and National Institutes of Health (NIH) has to say on the subject.
Herbal therapy is an integral aspect of Chinese Medicine. No one here is forced to take nasty tasting herbs that they find disagreeable. However, many problems are best treated with a combination of acupuncture, lifestyle changes and herbal medicine. If acupuncture is our bread and butter, herbal medicine is our secret weapon.
We love food and all things gastronomic. However, most recognize that what we eat has an enormous impact on how we live our lives. Our diet is at once a mirror, reflecting back our state of mind and also a fundamental cause for our state of health. Our diet holds keys that acupuncture alone cannot unlock. With nutrition, all is possible.
The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well. Our food should be our medicine. Our medicine should be our food.
